Fr Nick came into Buzzards Class to work alongside us when we investigated how Jesus was referred to as a king in the Bible. We looked at different parts of the Bible and what the quotes actually meant. We also discussed what we thought a king should act like and compared this with our impressions of Jesus.
In Music we have been investigating the musical style of jazz. We have been listening to different jazz songs as well as thinking about the instruments used. Today we looked at the arrangement of the song. The song we listened to was ‘Take the A Train’ by Duke Ellington. We enjoyed the music and could recongise why it sounded different.
We have started looking at our Christian Value of Justice.
As a class we have thought about what justice means to us and how this is shown in our everyday lives.
We have also reflected on the bible story of Jonah and the Big Fish and how this links into our Christian Value of Justice.
Buzzards Class were working with Achieve for All to improve their strength and agility skills using a range of activities and exercises over short bursts of time. The activities included leg exercises such as squats and lunges and running on the spot. they also tried some core strength activities. the class enjoyed the activities but found them very tiring.
